Rhinoplasty in Malaga: Art and Precision in Nose Surgery | Dr. Torres Corpas

Rhinoplasty for Natural Results

The nose is the central axis of facial balance. A successful rhinoplasty is not one that changes the face, but one that harmonizes the features so that the result appears to have always been there. Dr. Torres Corpas combines an artistic vision with cutting-edge surgical technique to offer natural, elegant, and, above all, functional results.

Whether you are looking to correct an aesthetic concern or need to improve your breathing capacity, our approach in Malaga focuses on the complete personalization of each procedure.

Objectives of Nose Surgery

Modern rhinoplasty has evolved beyond simply “removing bone.” Today we work to:

Define the nasal tip: Correct drooping, wide (bulgy), or asymmetrical tips.

Remove the dorsal hump: Soften the profile to achieve a harmonious topline.

Correct deviation: Center the nose to improve facial symmetry.

Improve breathing function: Treat deviated septum or turbinate problems (Rhinoseptoplasty).

Adjust size: Reshape the nose in relation to the chin and forehead (Profiloplasty).

Personalized planning and patient experience

At Dr. Torres Corpas’s practice, we don’t believe in mass-produced noses. Every surgery begins with a thorough analysis of the patient’s facial anatomy and an honest conversation about their expectations.

We use the most advanced techniques to ensure that the nasal structure remains strong long-term, preventing future collapse or deformities. Patient safety and postoperative excellence are our priorities.

Frequently Asked Questions about Rhinoplasty

At what age can rhinoplasty be performed? It is recommended to wait until facial bone development is complete, which usually occurs around age 16 in women and somewhat later in men. There is no upper age limit as long as overall health is good.

Is the surgery painful? There’s a common belief that it’s painful, but the reality is that most patients describe it more as a feeling of congestion or “pressure,” similar to a cold, than as sharp pain. Nowadays, techniques are much gentler on the tissues.

How long does the swelling last? Although most of the swelling subsides within the first month, allowing you to appreciate the change, the final result is achieved a year after surgery. The final changes to the tip of the nose take the longest to stabilize.

Are there any visible scars after the operation? In a closed rhinoplasty, the incisions are internal and leave no visible marks. In an open rhinoplasty, there is a minimal scar on the columella (the base of the nose) that becomes virtually imperceptible over the months.

How long is the recovery time? Most patients can resume their daily activities and office work within 10 to 12 days, once the protective splint is removed. Strenuous physical exercise should be postponed for a few more weeks.

Are nasal packings used? At Dr. Torres Corpas’s clinic, we use techniques that, in most cases, allow us to avoid the use of uncomfortable traditional packing, facilitating smooth nasal breathing from the very beginning and a much more comfortable recovery.
